Noblesse first appeared on WEBTOON way back in 2007 and finished in 2019. That’s a long-running webcomic series! When WEBTOON launched English language content in 2014, Noblesse was one of the first to be translated.
Given that Crunchyroll has recently adapted a whole bunch of WEBTOON successes to anime, it only seems natural that Noblesse was one of them.
In the show, “Noble” is a supernatural race with abilities beyond mere humanity.
Noblesse is the story of a Noble called Raizel who wakes up after sleeping for 820 years. Part of the plot is Raizel’s attempt to find out what happened.
In a standard anime trope, Raizel’s faithful and powerful servant Frankenstein enrols him at Ye Ran High School to help hide him while integrating the Noble into modern life.
Raizel and his new human friends discover there’s a secret society called The Union plotting to take over the world.
There will be Noblesse panels at V-CRX this year.
