The Miskatonic Repository is the community content program from Call of Cthulhu. Dungeons & Dragons have the DMs Guild, and Call of Cthulhu has the Repository.
Follow the rules of the Miskatonic Repository and you can self-publish your own Call of Cthulhu content, adventures, rules and supplements and profit from your creation.
Now, organised by fans, a weekend-long virtual event will become the first convention for independent Call of Cthulhu content creators. The Miskatonic Repository Con will run from October 17th to October 18th.
Chaosium’s Mike Mason and Michael O’Brien will be attending, appearing on the panels “Publishing on the Miskatonic Repository” and “Writing for the Miskatonic Repository”. Miskatonic Repository authors Jon Hook and Marek Golonka are also attending.
The convention is being organised on Facebook. If you want to submit a panel idea, workshop or even a presentation about your own publishing experiences, then you have until September 27th to fill in a pitch form.
The convention’s code of conduct is live too.
Geek Native’s convention calendar, which now includes Miskatonic Repository Con, shows the 17th and 18th to be incredibly busy days with multiple anime events and Bride of Cyclops Con all happening online. Since it’s possible to attend many events at once, it is shaping up to be a memorable weekend.
