In September, D&D will hold a multi-day event, attempt to hold the world’s largest virtual tabletop. Wizards of the Coast will also host a series of panels, and that schedule has now been released.
We also know from one of the speakers that these panels will not shy away from some of the hot button issues that emerged this year. One of the most fiercely debated topics was the additional of prejudice disclaimers on old D&D products, and that’s going to be tackled head-on when Asians Represent co-host Daniel Kwan appears.
D&D’s most recently announced book, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, will be one of the main threads of the event. Tasha’s Cauldron is the book specifically described in WotC’s diversity statement.
Rime of the Frostmaiden is the other, which will take a new approach to alignment to avoid “bad by blood” stereotyping.
