Crunchyroll has released a 6-minute teaser of their new anime Noblesse.
The sleeping supernatural master with his Frankenstein servant isn’t a vampire. No, he’s a Noble. Nobles have been the secret lords of humanity from the shadows for ages. However, Raizel has been asleep for nearly 1,000 years, and now the world is a very different place.
It’s a bit of an odd clip to show in a way as I’m not sure much of the nature or tone of the series comes out. It’s almost deadpan humour with this clip – the red-eyed don’t-call-him-vampire drawing a kitten face on the student’s cask.
On the other hand, we do get to meet a fair bit of the cast and get a quick overview of the set-up. Raizel is a fish out of the water, and he’s going to masquerade as a student at the school. His minion is the headmaster, and some sort of mutant escapee is a supervisor.
Every WEBTOON and Crunchyroll partnership this season has been a hit with me. I’ll happily give Noblesse the chance to follow the trend.
The series comes to life on October 6th over at Crunchyroll for most territories outside of Asia.
