Of all the previews in the Anime Expo Lite weekend mega-thread, it was Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina that I chose as a thumbnail. That’s how curious I was about it.
Now, Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina has a trailer, and it seems to hint at a feel-good magical yarn in the style of Little Witch Academia.
As is often the case, the anime is based on a light novel of the same name. This particular show is due out soon, though, broadcasting on October 2nd.
It’s not yet clear whether any anime streaming platform has picked up Wandering Witch, but Yen Press has the license for the English language novels and has been publishing them since January.
The Wandering Witch is a story about a witch who travels around, living day to day rather than going on any big quest. At the end of the journey; she takes on an apprentice to continue the tradition.
