Slime Cave of Norwal is a “pay-what-you-want” D&D adventure from James Introcaso and Jeff Stevens.
Regular Geek Native readers will know of this blog’s policy of reminding people that “pay-what-your-want” downloads from DriveThruRPG or Itch.io are ideally not “pay nothing” downloads. Indeed, the suggested price for Slime Cave of Norwal is $4.95.
However, on his blog, James Introcaso forwards the adventure as a free download.
As it happens, Slime Cave of Norwal is a Kickstarter preview. It’ll be one of 15 quests that appear in Jeff Stevens’ Adventures from the Potbellied Kobold. There’s a Kickstarter placeholder page in place if you would like to set a launch notification for that project.
Slime Cave of Norwal is designed for five 4th-level characters but scales down to 1st-level and up to 5th-level. It’ll feature social, exploration and combat.
There’s a cave near the farm village of Norwal through which a river choked with glowing sludge runs through. The area is the remains of a conjurer’s tower that was destroyed in a mysterious accident.
Now a slime cult has found the caves and a deadly purpose for them.
Introcaso notes that the adventure was written using D&D’s 5e basic rules (a free download) but there are also suggestions on how to use Kobold Press’s Creature Codex.
You can download and pay what you want for Slime Cave of Norwal at DriveThruRPG.
