ZeniMax Media owns Bethesda Softworks the publisher of The Elder Scrolls, Doom, Dishonored, Prey and Fallout.
Microsoft today announced a $7.5 billion cash deal to buy the company.
The deal boosts Microsoft’s collection of 15 creative studios to 23, once all of ZeniMax’s studios are added in. It brings Bethesda’s computer roleplaying games to Xbox Games Pass.
Starfield, the space epic currently in development at Bethesda will now have the same-day launch on PC, Xbox and into the Xbox Game Pass.
