Studio TMS has announced that the manga Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre will become an anime. Their trailer reveals that Netflix will get the show.
The second season on Netflix was a mix of arcs, including Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen and the original anime Most Evil Death Row Convicts.
In Baki season 3, based on Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre, Baki Hanma will take on his own father. That’s a titanic feat as Yūjirō Hanma, Ogre, is known as the strongest living being on Earth.
Is Yūjirō that strong? Yes, everything we’ve seen in the anime only acts to underline the Ogre’s incredible strength. Baki has been on a journey of improvement but is it enough to beat his monster of a father?
At the time of posting, neither Netflix US nor Netflix UK has commented on Baki season three. However, the anime is theirs to refuse. Given the levels of violence in the show, it is not impossible that the platform will decline the opportunity to run the anime in the West.
