Gears of War: Bloodlines is the official tie-in to both Gears 5 and Gears Tactics.
Written by Jason M. Hough, who also penned Geas of War: Ascendance, other game tie-in novels such as Mass Effect: Nexus Uprising as well as original work such as The Darwin Elevator, the book weaves together the stories of Kait and Gabriel Diaz.
Gabriel, a decorated Lieutenant Colonel, works for the Coalition of Ordered Government must coordinate the rescue of a Ghost Squad from a seemingly unimportant island.
What he discovers on that mission, though might change the course of the war.
Meanwhile, his daughter Kait is torn between joining the Coalition like her dad or walking the Outsider path as her mother did.
