Chaosium has made The Whispering Ruins available for free.
The news of the handy freebie was overshadowed by the surprise announcement that the publisher was selling the HeroQuest trademark to Hasbro and renaming the HeroQuest RPG to QuestWords
You can download this RuneQuest adventure, previously available to Dragonmeet 2019 attendees in London, from Itch.io.
Chaosium has only been on the trendy indie platform since April, and their store there looks great already.
We’re told that The Whispering Ruins won’t be featuring in any books or supplements that Chaosium currently has planned.
It’s suitable for encounters in an isolated area, or it can be fleshed out as a setting for an entire adventure in its own right.
