Jetpack 7 have announced Blackstorm Realms, a new space fantasy setting for 5e, with a Kickstarter due to launch on the 28th of September.
Veteran writer jim pinto is on board, as are Jetpack 7’s Sara Hübrich, Aaron Hübrich and James Floyd Kelly while Nerd Immersion’s Ted Sikora is a featured contributor and a quality control consultant.
The space fantasy game offers ways to link settings together as different worlds. For the launch, Jetpack7 will provide three unique new worlds for busy GMs.
What happened when a cataclysm “reset” the entire world hundreds of thousands of years ago? What would a world with extremely advanced magic look like? What would it take for a realm to finally be free of the sinister race of beings who wage a primeval war against the gods of the realm? How does one travel across the daunting expanses of The Black Storm, after all? The answers and so much more are waiting for your discovery.
Blackstorm Realms includes a character customization feature called Apartum which can enhance bodies and minds but may also cause insanity.
New races, classes, spells and magic items come with the new setting along with galaxy-spanning villains set on a course to dominate all the worlds they find or destroy those who resist.
If successful, the Kickstarter will produce a boxed set, with a map, starter adventure, custom dice and GM screen.
