The game follows the aftermath of an 1893 plan by British Naval Intelligence Department to recruit what they thought would be the perfect agent – a vampire.
Count Dracula was contacted, a safe house in England built and transit arranged. The vampire then double-crossed the British, hunted down and slain in response. Or, so the Intelligence Department though; Dracula lives.
