Shogo Sugitani’s Pompo: The Cinéphile has a new streaming release date and a trailer. The show is now due out March 19, 2021.
In the show, Joelle Davidovich “Pompo” Pomponett is a movie producer and the daughter of legendary filmmaker J.D. Peterson. Pompo inherits J.D.’s network when he retires, and despite her sometimes child-like demeanour goes on to make some great films.
Supporting Pompo is the production assistant Gene Fini. Fini is learning the art of moviemaking with Pompo who saves him from abandoning his directional dreams. The anime is set in the entirely original town of “Nyallywood”
Made at CLAP studios, God Eater director Takayuki Hirao is helming the anime which was delayed “for various reasons) from this year to next
