Today, Fat Goblin Games, Geek Native’s feature in the September 2019 RPG Publisher Spotlight shared a distressing story with supporters and a rallying call to raise money.
Gideon, the pet pig, has been shot and money must now be found to pay the vet.
This morning my pig got out of his pen because the neighbor’s dog was over in my yard. Gideon is used to dogs and followed, leaving the yard, something he has never done. He was in a neighborhood across the street, kids were excited to see him, people were feeding him snacks. Some man came out of his house with a .22 and chased my pig shooting at him, telling him to go home. Shooting in a neighborhood with kids around. People yelled at him to stop, yelled at him as he shot at my pig in other people’s yard, tried to protect him. Gideon was shot several times. We have him home now, trying to take care of him. The cops are charging the man with several things, but we won’t know everything till tomorrow. He is a good pig, a good boy. I hope he is strong enough to get through this. There was no reason for this to happen.
