As a thanks to Geek Native’s Patrons or anyone who becomes a patron before Saturday the 7th of November, I’ll be mailing out dice bags.
It does not matter which tier of Patron you are; $1, $2 or $5, you’ll qualify for a little dice bag. Yeah, you probably have one, two or five already but you never know when an extra dice bag might help protect board game tokens, cushion a favourite battle map miniature or store health beads might be handy.
The Patreon started at Geek Native after a conversation around the ethics of ad blockers. Some gamers don’t want ads but are willing to support content creators or curates, even communities.
Whatever the reason for your patronage, it’s truly appreciated, and each Patron moves the needle. If you sign up, you’ll see just how many page impressions in ad revenue your support is worth. Each baker is a viral hit.
Money from the Patron program isn’t kept, it doesn’t go to offsetting Geek Native’s losses as it will go back into the community on commissioned articles and art.
As thank-yous and gifts are both nice things to get, Geek Native occasionally sends out little gestures of appreciation. There have been indie games delivered via PDFs, deal with it sunglasses and dice before.
You can read a little more about the program and see the names of some of the site supporters at the Town Hall or join the Patreon directly.
