This is the story of one brave girl, one brave World of Warcraft player, in her valiant efforts to get Master Sam Raimi to notice her. Watch Katers17 showcase her talent and audition for a role in the World of Warcraft movie. I don’t about you; but I thoroughly support this talented actress and think […]

Lengthy Ar Tonelico III trailer hits the web
This is an awfully long – 4:30 plus – trailer for the forthcoming JRPG Ar Tonelico. It’s also quite loud so I’d nudge your volume downwards. The trailer shows off glimpses of most aspects of the game; the cut-scenes, costumes, battle stances, attacks and even wandering around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmxD5zxpvvE
Who the heck is Ultimate-X?
With a new image from Marvel doing the rounds, we find ourselves wondering who Ultimate-X is. Those claws look awfully Wolverine. As usual, ComicVine does a good job of summing up thoughts; “Could this be Ultimate Daken? Has Wolverine somehow been transformed into a teenager? Could this perhaps be Ultimate X-23?”
Graphic.ly’s CEO, Micah Baldwin, talks about the awesome application
What a whirlwind! At the start of the week, Geek Native had news of Graphic.ly’s $1m funding and supersizing waiting list of comic fans. Just yesterday Mashable then had news that Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer, yes – that Steve Ballmer, had raved about how awesome Graphic.ly was on stage at CES 2010. Yes – that CES […]
DC Comics not actually a nemesis to, er ‘Nemesis’
Yesterday, it was reported that Marvel Comic’s forthcoming ‘Nemesis’ series by ‘Kick-Ass’/’Wanted’ creator Mark Millar was being met with legal action by DC Comics. Apparently not according to comments Millar made over at Comic Book Resources: “There is no issue at all here. Someone simply saw that the image we had planned for the first cover […]
Matt Smith, as the Doctor, on the cover of Doctor Who magazine
The latest edition of the Doctor Who magazine is out in the UK today. Guess who’s on the front cover? That’s right. Matt Smith. We can see the prominent bow-tie again and I suspect if BBC’s marcoms people keep on signing off on these images it’s the bow-tie that’ll become the trademark 11th Doctor feature. […]
Solaris re-signs Eric Brown for Guardians of Phoenix series
Eric Brown’s first series (Necropath, Xenopath and Cosmopath) started life as Games Workshop books and concluded as Rebellion books. Judge Dredd fans know Rebellion as the publishers of 2000AD. The key to the deal is the imprint publisher – Solaris. It was a Games Workshop company when Necropath was published. Games Workshop got rid of […]
Monsuno monsters are coming
The US’s third largest toy producer Jakks has signed a deal with the Japanese animation giant Dentsu to create an anime TV show based around monsters. It’ll be called Monsuno. It’s a simple plan. Make the show. Sell the toys. It’s a formula that’s worked very well in the past but this is Jakks’ first […]
So Cyute! Tea robot
This was very nearly an impulse buy! Just not sure where to put it in our tiny flat. It’ll be even harder if you’re in Bristol as Forbidden Planet are doing a special event with Matt Jones and the “Special Tea Tour”. Actually, the FP website keeps on calling him “Matt JOnes” with the capital […]
Splinters of the Wyld – is it an Exalted exclusive?
I must admit – I’m not quite sure what White Wolf is trying to say about Splinters of the Wyld. The tagline seems to be “Sometimes writers write too much”. Here’s how the description of the Exalted supplement kicks off; “The Compass of Terrestrial Directions, Vol. II—The Wyld offers many locations, people and creatures for […]
