Modern Day Dovakiin uses axe

February 28, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

It’s hard to imagine that Bethesda hate this video because they stuck it on their own blog. In it we discover that the modern day Dovakiin is not too fond of the sword. No, the modern day Dovakiin uses the axe! Excuse me while I tag a few friends with “this is you!” posts on […]

How do you get the Rage: Anarchy edition?

September 30, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood 4 Comments

The Anarchy edition of Rage is available to anyone who pre-orders it. It’s a special edition in that not everyone will have it and that it has extra content. It’s not a special edition in the sense that you need to pay any more for it. If you pre-order Rage then you’ll get one extra […]

RAGE story video

August 5, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Have a watch of this video. It’ll introduce you to Bethesda Softwork’s Rage. It’s a shooter but we’re hoping for Bethesda’s typical storytelling style. The video is over two minutes long. It’s a mini-story. It’s actually an ad. I think Bethesda ae being bold and confident in pushing out such an advert. I supect this […]

E3: Skyrim ad and time-lapse ad

June 6, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Bethesda Softworks‘ Skyrim had its time in the sun at E3 today. So it should; this is The Elder Scrolls V we’re talking about. Tamriel is on the edge of chaos, the High King killed and alliances being made to clame the throne. In the middle of all this an ancient and deadly evil wakes. […]

Happy Together remake makes Hunted trailer fun

May 31, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m really impressed by the music in this trailer for Bethesda Softwork’s launched-in-the-US Hunted game. Hunted is a bit of Diablo meets Dungeon Siege combat crawl but plays special attention to the nuances of having two leading characters rather than one. They’re happy together; hence the clever use of music in this age-rated trailer.

Skyrim trailer: Elder Scrolls 5

December 13, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

We have nearly a year to wait for Elder Scrolls 5. It’s due out on the 11/11/11. We’ve also got Mass Effect 3 due out in 2011. I’m sure we’ll have a new Assassin’s Creed as well. This is the rise of the RPG. The elder scrolls talk of the rise of the RPG and […]

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge trailer touches on Diablo and Elder Scrolls

June 19, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

It’s not been that easy to keep up to date with the progress of Bethesda Softwork’s Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. Part of the problem is that I’ve not subscribed to any Hunted: The Demon’s Forge specific Facebook or Twitter feeds. The other part of the problem is that I don’t think there’s a handy RSS […]

Burning! Papercraft Fallout 3 laser pistol

May 21, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The good folks at Bethesda put a lot of effort into their blog. I’ve noticed that Nick likes to give props back to the community. Thanks Nick. On Thursday we had this post about a Fallout 3 laser pistol. It’s made entirely from paper. Probably just as well it doens’t shoot lasers. I would imagine […]

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge – Bethesda announces new RPG

March 15, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Bethesda (full name Bethesda Softworks) is the company responsible for The Elder Scrolls CRPG. It is responsible for Fallout. You can see why I keep an eye on Bethesda to see if they’ll do a new RPG. Announced at this year’s GDC is the two-player, third person, RPG called Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. The game […]

February 3, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Ever imagined what the trip from Fallout 3’s Value 101, through the Capital Wasteland to Megaton would look like as a Little Big Planet level? Do you think Sackboy could make it past the radroaches and other horrors? No? Yes! Now you get to find out!
