Who are the most deadly Marvel murderers?

May 25, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Which character from the Marvel Universe has killed the most people? That might be hard to work out. Let’s restrict the body count to famous people; superheroes, super villains and notable neutrals. What what the top three lethal list look like? All villains? You’d be in for a surprise. The infographic comes from Morphsuits.co.uk where […]

Icons and Superheroes launch with X-Men

December 11, 2014 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

Watching the Mad Max trailer last night reminded me of Maxime Crouzet’s minimalist Fury Road poster. As it happens Maxime has a new venture and it’s all about Icons and Superheroes. The project is to create a series of limited edition posters for 50 characters from various superhero universes. Maxime tells me she is starting […]

Leather Deadpool armour only has -1 Dex penalty

May 31, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Okay, so I made up the Dex penalty rule. I doubt Imperial Armories even considered THACO while designing this suit. Also, they didn’t call it Deadpool either. I think the official name of “Dark Knight Monarch” for this.

Rob Liefeld, creator of Deadpool and controversial artist, may have another comic series on the way to Hollywood. It’s reported that Bloodstrike will get a movie. Bloodstrike is a series about a team of dead mercenaries who are brought back to life. The movie will use vampire blood as the means of bringing the team […]

Deadpool dances through Comic-Con

July 18, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Here’s a game you can play with the video. Pick either “happy” or “sulky” and award yourself one point for each interaction Deadpool does with someone whenever they’re either happy or sulky. How well do you score?

Stormtroopers as superheroes

May 6, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Jon Bolerjack has a collection of cleverly drawn Stormtroopers. These Stormtroopers don’t use the standard white and black approach of the Empire. No. These Stormtroopers are superheroes! Colouring credit goes to JJ Kirby who brought these illustrations to life. Captain America Trooper Deadpool Trooper Spider-man Trooper Thor Trooper Wolverine Trooper

Superheroes on the D&D alignment chart

February 4, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 2 Comments

I think this superhero and villain alignment chart is particularly good. It takes the old school Dungeons and Dragons alignment scale and uses heroes and villains to populate it. The rest is that old D&D geeks get a kick out of the retro chic and the newer native geeks get an easy way to see […]

127 Seconds – Marvel parodies Oscar hopeful 127 Hours

February 26, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Have you seen Danny Boyle‘s 127 Hours? I haven’t. Not my cup of tea. Don’t need to see James Franco suffer. The fact that the flick is up for an Oscar or so means it is noteworthy though – and comic powerhouse Marvel have noticed. Marvel does 127 Hours? Surely not. Correct. Instead we’ve got […]
