This is one impressive cake! It’s tempting to call it a Dungeons & Dragons cake but really the dragon is attacking a castle. A Castle & Crusades cake? Is there a cake based RPG as a second alternative? Found first on Pinterest, traced to Token Female Gamer and might first have appeared via Rosebud Cakes. […]
The fires of marzipan Smaug
This little Smaug is a dragon made from marzipan and who has made his home an small hill of chocolate soufflé. I love the little on candles. This is a marzipan dragon that breathes fire. Via Caracal Feathers.
Green Dragon Cake
This Green Dragon Cake popped up on Reddit and was quickly found to be the work of Rita at Touche Touchet in Columbia, MD. It’s great when the Reddit/Imgur combination works to give someone their credit. Look at all those detailed scales. Impressive stuff.
This dragon cake as a two foot wingspan
It took 22 hours to make and although it’s mainly food the wingspan of the dragon is two foot and so there’s a simple metal armature inside. The rest of the dragon tower is fondant, gumpaste and chocolate cake.
Smaug the Tremendous in LEGO
This Smaug is a dragon made from LEGO by Fat Tony. The design uses gold foil bought from a craft store which has had real LEGO coins pressed into to make imprints. I think the effect works wonderfully well and LEGO Smaug looks quite happy on his gold heap. Via Fat Tony’s Flickr and Geek […]
Dungeons & Dragons cartoon with gaming group soundtrack
An oldie – but a goodie. In fact, this video deserves more than the 80,000 or so views it’s had since being uploaded in 2011. The visuals come from the classic and unfortunately never concluded Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. The voice track? Not so much. This is a perfectly timed actual game of D&D as […]

The pitch is pretty good; a mashup of fantasy and World War I action using the Renaissance Deluxe roleplaying game. I suspect they may be […]
How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer shows new dragons
Lots of new dragons and a certain key character revealed in this How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer. Vikings riding Dragons; certainly makes for an interesting world. Toothless seems to be extra cheeky. As usual.
The Falworth dragon
LEGO builder Mark of Falworth (sometimes known as Mark Erickson) is responsible for this very clever dragon. He uses Bionicle pieces to help create a dragon that looks smooth and fleshy. This isn’t a blocky box build at all. Check out his Flickr collection.
